米、国連人権理事会から離脱へトランプ氏が大統領令に署名

[ワシントン４日ロイター] - トランプ米大統領は４日、国連人権理事会から離脱する大統領令に署名した。また、国連パレスチナ難民救済事業機関（ＵＮＲＷＡ）への資金拠出停止を継続したほか、国連教育科学文化機関（ユネスコ）からの離脱を検討するよう指示した。

トランプ氏は「（国連には）大きな可能性があり、われわれはその可能性を踏まえ今後も協力していくだろうが、彼らはしっかり仕事をしなければならない」と記者団に語った。「正直、うまく運営されておらず、彼らは仕事をしていない」と述べた。

グテレス国連事務総長の報道官はコメント要請に応じなかった。

大統領令の署名はイスラエルのネタニヤフ首相のワシントン訪問と重なった。ネタニヤフ氏は以前からＵＮＲＷＡが反イスラエルの扇動や「テロ活動」に関与していると非難している。

トランプ氏は１期目にも、ＵＮＲＷＡへの資金提供を停止し、人権理事会から離脱した。

トランプ氏は１月２０日に２期目をスタートさせて以降、世界保健機関（ＷＨＯ）からの脱退や気候変動対策の国際枠組み「パリ協定」からの再離脱も表明している。
