メキシコ、中国からの輸入抑制へ新経済計画と貿易戦略を発表

[メキシコ市１３日ロイター] - メキシコのシェインバウム大統領は１３日、中国からの輸入を抑制することを目的とした経済計画を発表した。また、２０２６年に見直しの時期を迎える米国・メキシコ・カナダ協定（ＵＳＭＣＡ）を擁護した。

トランプ次期米大統領は、中国製品の米国への流入でメキシコが裏口になっていると主張している。メキシコはそうした主張を否定しているが、アジアから国内に入ってくる密輸品を取り締まり、ＳＨＥＩＮ（シーイン）やＴｅｍｕ（テム）などの電子商取引大手をターゲットにした関税を導入している。

シェインバウム氏は、広範な成長促進策の一環として、投資を増やし、３０年までにメキシコを現在の１２位から世界トップ１０の経済大国にするための経済政策リストを発表した。

繊維や自動車など中国からの輸入に依存している産業への現地調達の促進や、中国が市場競争力を低下させていると長年非難してきたメキシコの鉄鋼メーカーへの支援も含まれている。

投資を国内総生産（ＧＤＰ）比２８％まで引き上げ、現地生産を促進し、官僚的な手続きを削減することで１５０万人の製造業雇用を増やす計画。貿易協定や関税政策、税関執行の強化を利用して、他の分野でメキシコの地位を高めることも目指す。
