[ワシントン７日ロイター] - トランプ米政権による軍高官の粛清が続いている。３人の関係筋が７日にロイターに明らかにしたところによると、北大西洋条約機構（ＮＡＴＯ）軍事委員会の米軍代表を務めるショシャナ・チャットフィールド海軍中将も解任された。

国防総省は今のところこの情報を確認していないが、関係筋はチャットフィールド氏の解任が同盟国に通知されたと明らかにした。

同氏は数少ない女性の海軍三つ星将校の１人で、女性初となる海軍大学校のトップを２０２３年まで務めた。

解任理由は不明だが、ある関係筋は国防総省による「多様性、公平性、包摂性（ＤＥＩ）」イニシアチブの抑制に関連している可能性があると語った。

最近では、サイバー軍司令官を兼任する国家安全保障局（ＮＳＡ）のティモシー・ホーク局長らもトランプ大統領によって解任された。もっと見る
