[ワシントン２１日ロイター] - トランプ米政権は、米国に滞在する５３万人のキューバ人、ハイチ人、ニカラグア人、ベネズエラ人の暫定的な法的地位を４月２４日に無効化する。２１日の連邦官報を通じて発表した。移民取り締まり強化策の一環。

バイデン前政権下で米国の身元引受人がいれば空路で米国に入国することができた移民に対する２年間の「仮放免」期間を短縮する。

これにより、多くの人が強制送還の対象となる可能性がある。仮放免で米国に滞在している移民のうち、別の保護措置や法的地位を得ている人がどれほどいるのかは不明だ。
