［ワシントン　２日　ロイター］ - 米国防総省は２日、米軍が６月に実施した核施設３カ所への攻撃でイランの核開発計画は最大で２年遅延したとの見解を示した。作戦が目的を達成した可能性が高いことを示唆した。

国防総省のパーネル報道官は記者会見で、米軍によるイラン核施設攻撃の結果の検証に変更はなく、施設は完全に破壊されたと言及。イランの核計画は「おそらく２年近く」遅延したと述べた。この見解を裏付ける証拠は示さなかった。

「計画を１年から２年遅らせた。少なくとも国防総省内の情報分析ではそう評価している」と述べた。

国防総省の主要情報機関である国防情報局（ＤＩＡ）がまとめた初期的な分析では、イランの核開発計画の中核部分は破壊されず、計画を数カ月遅らせる程度にとどまった可能性が高いことが示されていた。
