香港最大の民主派政党、中国が解散迫る＝関係者
[香港 １１日 ロイター] - 香港最大の民主派政党である民主党の幹部は、解散しなければ、逮捕を含む深刻な事態に見舞われると中国側から警告されていることを明らかにした。
民主党は１９９４年の結党。香港が中国に返還された９７年以前から活動してきた。数十年にわたって香港の民主派勢力を束ね、中国に民主化改革を要求してきたが、２０１９年の民主化デモ以降は、中国による締め付けが強化され、現在は議席を失っている。
同党は今月１３日に特別総会を開催し、党員の意見を踏まえて、解散に向けた手続きに着手する可能性がある。
同党の羅健熙主席は解散の具体的な理由を明らかにしていないが、同党幹部５人はロイターに対し、中国の当局者や中国政府とつながりのある人物がここ数カ月、民主党に解散を迫っていることを明らかにした。１２月の立法会（議会）選挙までに解散するよう求められたという。
複数の外交官は、民主党が解散されれば、香港の国際的な評価がさらに下がるとの見方を示している。
中国政府の出先機関、駐香港連絡弁公室のコメントは取れていない。
