[米大統領専用機９日ロイター] - トランプ米大統領は９日、米国がパレスチナ自治区ガザを所有する考えを改めて示した。同時に、一部の再建を中東の他国に委ねる可能性に言及した。大統領専用機上で記者団に語った。

「ガザを購入し、所有することにコミットしている。再建については中東の他国に一部区域を提供し、建設をしてもらうかもしれない。われわれの援助を通じて他国が再建するかもしれない。だが、ガザを所有し、掌握し、イスラム組織ハマスが戻らないようにすることにはコミットしている」と述べた。

また「（ガザには）戻るものは何もない。解体現場だ。残りは取り壊される。全てが取り壊される」と語った。

米国が一部のパレスチナ人難民を受け入れる可能性にも言及したが、ケースバイケースで検討するとした。

一方、イスラエルのヘルツォグ大統領はＦＯＸニュースのインタビューで、トランプ氏がエジプトのシシ大統領と会談予定で、サウジアラビアのムハンマド皇太子とも会談する可能性があると述べた。時期や場所には言及しなかった。

ロイターは先週、ヨルダンのアブドラ国王が１１日にワシントンで行われるトランプ氏との会談で、大統領のガザ所有構想は過激主義を招き、中東に混乱を拡大させるほか、ヨルダンとイスラエルの和平を危うくすると伝える意向だと報じた。
