［ワシントン　１１日　ロイター］ - トランプ米大統領は１１日、ロシアで２０２１年から拘束されていた米国人教師マーク・フォーゲル氏が解放されたことについて、ウクライナ戦争を終結させる取り組みの「大きな重要部分となり得る」と述べ、プーチン・ロシア大統領に謝意を示した。

フォーゲル氏をホワイトハウスで迎えたトランプ氏は「われわれはただ彼を家に帰したかった」と述べた。１２日にもう１人釈放されると語ったが、詳細は明らかにしなかった。人質問題担当のボーラー特使も、詳細を明らかにせず１２日に新たに米国人１人が解放される予定だとＣＮＮに語っている。もっと見る

フォーゲル氏は「私は今、地球上で最も幸運な男だと思う」と述べ、トランプ氏と同様、プーチン大統領に謝意を示した。
