事故調査まだ終わらずとエアインディアＣＥＯ、報告書で新たな疑問

［ニューデリー　１４日　ロイター］ - エア・インディアのキャンベル・ウィルソン最高経営責任者（ＣＥＯ）は、先月２６０人が死亡した同社旅客機の墜落事故について、１２日に公表された暫定的な調査報告書で新たな疑問が浮上しており、調査はまだ終わっていないとの見解を示した。従業員に宛てた１４日付のメモをロイターが確認した。

インド航空事故調査局（ＡＡＩＢ）が１２日に発表した報告書では、米航空機大手ボーイングの７８７ドリームライナーが墜落直前に操縦室内で混乱があったことが指摘された。

ウィルソン氏はメモで、報告書は「メディアで新たな憶測を引き起こしている。当然、報告書はより明確な情報をもたらすとともに、新たな疑問も提起した」と述べた。さらに「報告書は原因を特定しておらず、いかなる推奨も行っていない。調査は当分終わらないため、全ての人に早計な結論を下すことを避けるようお願いする」と付け加えた。

同氏は、報告書は機械的ないし保守上の不具合は見当たらない上、義務付けられている保守点検は全て実施されていたとの結果を示していると指摘。パイロットの健康状態に問題はなかったと述べた。
